There are really many great restaurants in Ohrid where you can sit for hours and hours looking at the wonderful and peaceful view of the Ohrid lake. Most often you will find traditional restaurants around every corner in the city.
To be honest, you won’t be able to chose in which one to sit first. The taste and the smell of the food draws the people right at the doorsteps of the fish restaurants and traditional dishes restaurants.
At the end of the last (2009) summer we spend quite a lot of time enjoying our stay in Ohird in two really good restaurants; Antiko and Sveta Sofija (St. Sofia). Both are very good, and it would be very hard to pick the better one, so we will not even try to do that now.
Antiko is a well known restaurant in the city of Ohrid and it is the place where lots of tourists are dropping by for a well cooked meal. It is situated in massive, stone building of an ancient appearance and you can easily find, because is very near to the main square. Only 50m away.
The interior is beautifully designed with exquisite and delicate lace-like woodcarvings. The atmosphere in the restaurant is discrete and very appealing Macedonian traditional music.
You will definitely enjoy your stay there and whatever you order from the menu – it won’t be a mistake 🙂
